You send it

Even though we are in the age of free web-based email with huge space, such as Gmail, ISPs and web-hosting companies continue to slap what now seems pint size limits on email, even though we are entering the stage of up to 24Mbit broadband in Australia.

Enter saviour YouSendIt. You send it allows you to send any file up to 1 Gb in size to any email address. You simply enter their email address and click send. The file is uploaded to yousendit.com servers, where the recipient will receive a notification where they can download it.

Now, it’s possibly not as convenient as firing off an email, but it’s about as close as we are gonna get for now.

Gmail

It seems the web has a flood of Gmail invites, where once people were actually paying for these, now people can’t get rid of them.

In case you don’t know, Gmail, or Google Mail, offers free web and POP based email, with storage space of 2Gb and over.

If you want a mailbox, Contact Me and I’ll send you an invite.
