This is a small java arcade game my group made for a uni project.
We had less than two weeks to make it, so it’s not perfect. Check out the splash screen for keys.

Google is at it again, this time they have just released a new Instant Messaging (IM) client called Google Talk.
Google Talk is based on the Jabber network, and is already available to all Gmail users through their Gmail Address. Google Talk supports Instant Messaging, Email Alerts and Audio Converstations. So fars it’s nice and simply and clean, without advertisements. We’ll see how long it stays like that.
Check it out at http://talk.google.com/
If you don’t have a Gmail address, contact me and I’ll send you an invite.

Most people have no idea what VoIP is. Let me put it in common language… FREE CALLS.
Skype is software that allows you to call and talk to anyone else using the software completely free. It has audio quality better than phone quality and also allows you to call normal phones at very low rates.
For example I live in Australia and I call Korea all the time. There is only one other provider in Australia that gives a better cost per second rate than Skype. And I can’t be bothered to go and buy their cards. Convenience keeps me at my desktop.
Download it free at www.skype.com

Throw away your old atlas, NASA has come up with a great open source program called World Wind that lets you navigate across the globe. This is really awesome!
The basic program is around 200 mb, and loads data from the NASA servers, so you’ll want to have broadband access for this. It really is amazing what is possible!
Collectively NASA’s data sets are around 4.6 Terabytes, and if you are really keen there are even some data files to download, you can get them here , but they are quite large!
If you have broadband you must get this marvel of modern technology.
