Gigapxl Project
Thursday, February 23rd, 2006It’s no secret digital camera use and purchases exploded in recent years, and now even novice consumers are clued up on picture quality and how it’s measured; in megapixels.
The average consumer camera is now around 5 megapixels. Imagine that times 500.
The Gigapxl Project set out to capture our world, using technology to produce amazing quality and great sized pictures. Their photos range from 1000 megapixels to 4000 megapixels. Some of this stuff has to be seen to be believed. Imagine a print 50 square feet print with the quality of your average 6 x 4!
